About Ceili Nights
Ceili Nights (otherwise known as ceilidh, pronounced kay'lee) is about presenting a great night out to anyone living in or coming to London. It is being organised in assoication with London Irish Rugby Club.
In the past, people in Ireland and Britain attended dance halls where people used to interact with eachother on a more positive and simple level. There, organised group dances and live music took place. The ceili / ceilidh was an easy to meet and dance with others.
This simplicity was laregly lost as cities grew larger, especially in London. The founders of Ceili Nights felt that something had to be done in order to bring people of all nationalities together in a more fun and active environment. Ceili Nights is about tapping in to the spirit of the Irish to create new social communities in big cities like London. The ceili / ceilidh is about bringing back the magic and simplicity of this Dance Hall era.
The Irish are renouned renouned for 'craic' (fun), their traditional music, friendly outlook and enjoying a beer or two :) When was the last time you made a new circle of friends? Come on and party with us in London.
